In Khmu ethnic
dialect, YORLA
means, “Go For A
Walk” and PA
is “Forest”
Walk in the forest through countless trees along the river. Feel your senses awaken. Run wild in the forest in search of adventures. Chase footprints, follow the song of birds, and listen to the whispers of the canopy above. See where they lead you!
The forest and the river have secrets, so does YORLA PA. A sanctuary awaits you in the middle of the forest. Discover its treasures. When night falls, be ready to dream.
It’s magical. Come see for yourself!

OUR STORY
Somphet Maopaseuth, owner and visionary of the Yorla Pa sanctuaries, first had an inkling of developing an eco-tourism
PRESERVE THE FOREST, IMPROVE WELL-BEING OF PEOPLE
destination in a protected forest, driven by his desire to protect forest species and limit unrestrained hunting in the area. That seed of passion grew into his first sanctuary, Nam Kat Yorla Pa, opened in 2016. Since then, the success of the idea led him to his second sanctuary, Nam Pien Yorla Pa, opened in 2020.
At their core, the Yorla Pa sanctuaries encourage responsible travel. The continuing vision is to help finance future conservation, improve well-being of the local communities through sustainable employment and opportunities, and the protection of native flora and fauna.
A desire to showcase this beautiful corner of the world, unique activities and adventures are designed to reveal the best of the surrounding nature while minimizing environmental impact, and the resorts themselves are heavily influenced by the region and its heritage.
